The cast was amazing and most of them are famous now. The guy that played Martin is now going to play Bilbo Baggins in the Hobbit. Mos Def became a famous rapper. Zooey Deschanel became Zooey Deschanel AKA Katy Perry's twin. Plus it had Sam Rockwell and Professor Snape.
It was incredibly accurate to the book and matched the tone damn well despite what idiots say on the internet. Also there are 5 books in the Hitchhiker's Guide series. WHY did we never get a sequel to this? It pisses me off that Transformers got 2 sequels yet I'll never get to see Restaraunt at the End of the Universe on the big screen.
