you don't go to the same places in each game not every character is in the same area they've covered 2/9 countries. Some areas have only been mentioned in books oh and as for gamewise it's opposite the first is better mainly cause the 3d map sucks ass in the second one.
It's mainly in one city unlike the first game which is country wide
there are people who reappear though to hand out quest that you could control previously
combat wise is pretty much the same except for the strike style and upgrade chart.
The quanari in the second game are bad ass though and the beardless dwarf who narrates the story which is different from the first. I love how he alters parts of the story and then the listener interrupts.
