playing a game for 4 hours and it shut off. It wasn't overheated and a game is stuck in there. Powered it off the red light turned on tried to restart it and the light shut off.

July 26 or seventh 2007 to October first 2011 about 4 years and 2 months
I am going to question this. The ps2 lasted longer than that and I still have it. What the hell is going on I'd gladly pay a thousand dollars for a system to know it would last a decade.

    OH NOES!!!!! That sucks Wes.

Wes, don't get a 360. Play PC like the pro you are and then save up for a Wii U cause you'll probably be the only one of our friends who can afford one.

maybe but I want access to hundreds of hours worth of rpg data. I have one in a pathetic attempt to recover overwritten data but the slus shit prevents me from doing that because it's a psv file.

about 5 data files I actually care about the rest are irrelevant and can be reattained within 20 hours each.

They are the final fantasy games data and rogue galaxy.

    300+ hours put in them.
but I have one of them ha ha!

no without backup all data is lost I am reduced to my one file of final fantasy xii a ps2 game. I never used backup I didn't think that also effected ps2 games I could give a shit less about ps3 games. They auto save every five minutes. With the exception of ff XIII which still requires you to save via device.

there was no flashing light as I saw it just shut off. I honestly think it died. I think though getting one and a blu ray player is a good way to lengthen the life of the next one.

Oh well all I need is for sony to release a ps2 emulator hardware accessory it would be like a external device but would only function when attached to a ps3 so sony get on it!
I am not getting a new ps3 and not being able to play ps2 games fuck that

I just want a game system right now I am trying to get over it with dragon age but it's not helping.
